Universal Braille and Talking Book Library, Research and Educational Institute for the Blind ( UBTREIB )

Model School for the Blind, Dharmasala, established by the Universal Braille and Talking Book Library, Research and Educational Institute for the Blind (UBTREIB), has been silently shaping the future of many visually challenged children for the post 20 years. Started in 1998, the school now has 17 students, nine boys and eight girls from class I to VII.

So far 90 students have passed out of the school. The school has nine staff, including five teachers, of whom two are visually challenged. The school has adopted the State syllabus and the students are able to equipped with the Braille script pursue their further studies in normal schools.
